fish and chip owners have tasted success after their booming business expanded into a fully fledged family restaurant.

Customers can now enjoy their slap up fish supper in the restaurant at Fish Bits in Hyde Park after proprietors Chris and Nicola Xenofontos served up the new venture.

The expansion has also reeled in 20 part-time and full-time job opportunities for people.

The Fish Bits family restaurant brings together unique fish dishes sourced locally with recipes and ingredients used by the family passed down through generations

Mr Xenofontos said: “Our goal is to bring culinary satisfaction and cheer to our customers in these hard times through our commitment in ensuring the menu is exciting, adventurous by choosing the finest ingredients to provide the best fish cuisine in Doncaster at an affordable price.

“We are also offering vegetarian options alongside our signature fish dishes which are second to none.”

Mayor of Doncaster Peter Davies, who officially opened the new restaurant, said: “Fish Bits is Doncaster’s first bespoke fish and chip family restaurant and it is a refreshing addition to Doncaster’s eating out experience.”
