CARTOON characters were all on show helping a charity shop celebrate its first birthday.

Customers, volunteers and staff at the Barnardo’s shop in Edlington all dressed to impress with the likes of Danger Mouse and Scooby Doo enjoying some party snacks to mark the occasion.

Shoppers were also offered the chance to enter a lucky dip and tombola at the fancy dress event in the Edlington Lane store.

There was nothing pesky about the kids charity as funds from the Barnardo’s event continues to come in and goes towards helping vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people.
