THE glitz and glamour of Hollywood is coming to town this evening.

For the ‘movie premiere’ of the DVD of the annual Firefly Fashion Show is to be screened at The Glasshouse in Kirk Sandall.

And the evening will be even more special with the event also marking the official unveiling of the cancer support group’s second people carrier which will ferry patients to hospital appointments.

The group was handed £20,000 from entrepreneur Fil Adams Mercer as part of the TV show Secret Millionaire which allowed it to buy its first vehicle.

Now following a host of fundraising, including its annual fashion show at The Dome where many of the models are cancer patients, the organisation has bought a second vehicle, Firefly 2.

The evening at the pub in Doncaster Road starts at 6.30pm. As well as the premiere of the fashion show the evening will feature entertainment and a raffle.

Tickets costing £7 are still available on the door.
