CHILDREN at a secondary school embraced the spirit of Christmas giving by hosting a free festive show for nursing home residents.
Ash Hill Academy in Hatfield entertained residents with a rendition of its Christmas Concert that included a brass ensemble, comedy sketches, singers, readings and dances.
And to top of the day free mince pies and cups of tea were on offer at the Ash Hill Road academy.
Head boy Thomas Byatt said: “Our school is always willing to help the community and we feel that Christmas is a time that the community should come together.”
The afternoon was followed by a paid for performance.
