A Doncaster supermarket team has started their community work in 2014 by putting their Christmas decorations to good use.
Staff at Sainsbury’s Edenthorpe provided Kirk Sandal Primary School with a selection of colourful decorations which were hung over the store’s shop-floor throughout December.
The larger-than-life decorations donated yesterday, Friday, included snowmen, Christmas puddings, robins, Christmas trees and more.
Store manager Jon Cox: said: “We’re delighted to donate these decorations to Kirk Sandal Infants. We received great feedback from our customers on this year’s decorations and it’s great to ensure they’ve found a good home in the community.”
Janet Foster, a member of staff at the school, said: “After our Christmas activities, we definitely needed some new decorations and these new ones look fantastic! I’d like to say a big thank-you to the team at Sainsbury’s Edenthorrpe for this generous donation. We’ll certainly be putting them to good use.”
