THE family of an elderly man who died following a collision in Crowle last week have paid tribute to him.

John Wilson Winter, 94, of Crowle, died at Scunthorpe General Hospital on November 8 following a road traffic collision two days previously between a red Seat Ibiza car and John’s electrically-assisted pedal cycle, at High Street Crowle.

John, also known as Jack, grew up in Crowle and was a familiar face around the village. He was married to Sadie for 64 years.

His widow described him to be a loving husband and uncle, and despite his age, an active gentleman.

Sadie is being supported by her family and friends.

The family asks that any witnesses to the collision should get in touch with Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 367 of 06 November.

Funeral details will be published at a later date.
