Pop star Louis Tomlinson’s family in Doncaster say they are full of pride at the success of the One Direction film, This is Us.

The family of the singer, who is currently on a two week break which will include his match for Doncaster Rovers on September 18, were among those at the premiere in London.

The film took nearly £3.5million in its first week.

Louis’s mum, Johnannah, said: “We are all so proud of the movie, as is Louis. Money aside Louis is just so pleased that the figures show how many people have seen the film and that is very exciting.

We had an amazing time at the premiere and in particular Louis’ Grandad did, Len Poulston, who is awaiting brain surgery. He told his surgeon that he couldn’t have it before that date ‘as I have a date with my Grandson at his premiere.”

“Louis is having a two week break but is really looking forward to flying to Australia to continue the tour.”
