The Johnny Cash Roadshow

Clive John and The Spirit Band present the finest celebration of ‘The Man in Black’ there is.

The show delivers all of the hits including Ring of Fire, Boy Named Sue, Folsom Prison Blues and Man in Black. It also features an evocative video projection showing the life of the star and many of the duets Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash were famous for such as Jackson, Darling Companion, and Ain’t Me Babe.

Town Field Gala and

Charity Balloon Launch

Town Field Gala is a free family fun gala and charity balloon launch. Doncaster & Bassetlaw Kidney Association (DaBKA) are working with Doncaster Council’s Area Team and NHS to hold a community fun event for all the family while promoting looking after your health, raising awareness of organ donation and to raise funds for DaBKA. The gala will be an afternoon filled with various activities and entertainment followed by the balloon launch at 2pm.

In addition, the organisers are planning food stalls, trade stalls, inflatable sumo suits, face painting, penalty shoot out and basketball. Entertainment includes Town Field School choir, cheerleading and professional singing and dancing.

Streisand - The Main Event

Doncaster-born Lisa Faye presents a musical celebration of the life, career and music of the greatest female recording artist of all time, Barbra Streisand, straight from a hugely successful season in London’s West End at the Trafalgar Studios and a sold-out run at the 2010 Edinburgh Festival Fringe where it received rave 5 star reviews.

It takes the audience on a musical journey through a collection of songs that Streisand brought to life with her unique style and interpretation. She delivers the songs expertly, interjected with fun, entertaining and interesting anecdotes about Streisand and her music. As an added feature, Lisa wears one of Barbra Streisand’s original dresses which she secured in Streisand’s 2009 charity auction in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and will have two others on display at the theatre.

An Evening of Singing for Pleasure

Local well known choir The Doncaster Wheatsheaf Singers will be joining forces with Anston Male Voice Choir to bring us an “Evening of Singing for Pleasure”.

This will be a great evening of popular choral music by these two superb choirs, with a programme which includes songs from the Wheatsheaf’s recently recorded CD, many of which are new to their repertoire. Tickets are now available in advance from Small World Travel, St. Mary’s Court, Tickhill or from the choir’s Chairperson, Mrs D M Miller. There will also be tickets available on the door.
