PUPILS have been channelling their inner explorers as they waved off two teachers on an African adventure.

Teachers Kate Corcoran and Tim Wilson from St Michael’s Primary School in Rossington will be visiting Lena Preparatory School in Kenya to help carry out maintenance projects and lay foundations for a new school building.

Pupils were asked to take part in an explorer themed fancy dress day and everyone was given a flag to wave the pair off with after a special farewell assembly.

The school funded the trip through a series of fundraisers, most recently a football tournament between parents and teachers with mini games for the children.
