Exams results shock as schools scoop millions

EDUCATION bosses have received a multi-million pound cash boost as it was revealed virtually all of Doncaster's secondary schools failed to meet national targets.

The Government is to give the council 27 million to fund rebuilding projects placed in jeopardy following the decision to scrap the Building Schools for the Future programme.

The boost comes as GCSE league tables paint a bleak picture of failing education standards.
