Evening out at the races for Isle folk

A free day of racing at Doncaster is on the cards for residents in parts of the Isle.

Doncaster Racecourse is offering free admission to people who live within the DN postcode area for its special evening meeting on Thursday, July 18.

The offer is for the family enclosure, but there are also several resident-exclusive enclosure upgrades available at reduced rates.

On this particular ‘residents’ evening’, County enclosure tickets are just £8 and two-course dinner in the restaurant is £50.

Mark Spincer, managing director of Doncaster Racecourse, said “We’re looking forward to the chance to give something back to the locals who have supported us over the years as part of Doncaster Day.”

Guests who would like to take up any of the reduced entry offers – including registering for the free tickets - must book online in advance.

The offer is limited to four tickets per household. Please ring to enquire regarding a corporate booking of a larger number.

And as usual, dress codes apply for some of the enclosures.

Doncaster racecourse is also used as a venue for multiple events from concerts to weddings, and has attracted several big names in music already this year.

It is fully licensed for civil wedding ceremonies.
