THE majority of thousands of people affected by a power cut have had their supply returned to normal.
More than 2,000 properties in Doncaster were left without power earlier today.
Yorkshire Electricity Distribution (YEDL) said more than 4,000 customers were without power when the electricity went off at around 4.30 am.
Areas affected included Hatfield, Dunscroft, Dunsville, Barnby Dun and Armthorpe.
YEDL said two separate faults were responsible for the blackouts, the first occurred while contractors were repairing underground cable and the second happened when workers were switching over power supplies.
