WE’VE extended the deadline for entries in our very first Doncaster Free Press Environment Awards.
We’re on the lookout for individuals, schools and businesses who are wild about recycling, a whizz at cutting pollution or a winner when it comes to energy-saving.
We want to hear from people across the borough about their efforts as we give them a chance to share their green ideas and initiatives.
Environmental issues have come increasingly to the fore in recent years as concerns grow about the effects of climate change, global warming and harmful emissions. But there are things we can do to minimise the damage we cause and lots of Doncaster people are turning their attention to this serious issue and making strenuous efforts to do just that.
And now’s the time to make sure everyone gets to hear about it - but time is running out to enter the contest which has ten categories up for grabs. These are:
Primary School Award
Senior School Award
Design & Build Award
Lifetime Achievement Award
