YOUNGSTERS have been rewarded by Doncaster Council for their commitment to carbon reduction.

Children at Mallard Primary School in Balby received silver and bronze awards as part of Active Student Awards, a pupil-led initiative to reduce people’s carbon footprint.

Youngsters have used energy monitors to measure the school’s energy consumption helping reduce power consumption for the third year running.
