Dearne students are invited to see what courses are available at Rotherham College at an open day.

There will be a range of taster sessions at the campus on Saturday, January 17, between 10am and 12.30pm.

These include samples of courses covering hair and beauty, childcare and an ‘Apprentice’ style challenge in the business department.

The college’s Construction Centre will also be open for anyone interested in brickwork, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating or plastering.

Students are welcome to go straight there and not attend the general event at the main town centre campus.

A college spokesman said: “The tasters are aimed to give prospective students the chance to get a real feel for the departments and be able to make more informed decisions about their futures.

“Not only will tasters be available but tutors from all of the areas will be available to speak with and will be able to give tours of the great facilities that the College has to offer.”
