Entrepreneurial students from Dearne Valley College have started their own business, thanks to the Young Enterprise Scheme.

Two of them, Lewis Grice (pictured), 16, from Denaby and Luke Turton, 17, from Swinton, are studying on the college’s Catering and Hospitality programmes and have created a signature line of seasonal jams and chutney products which are proving to be great seasonal sellers. Learner involvement coordinator, Emily Senior, said: “We are so proud of our students for coming up with a great business idea which has proved popular with friends, family and staff. The students gave themselves roles within the team including managing director and marketing manager, among others”.
