A spokesman said: “You will be visiting us at a very exciting time as we celebrate top class GCSE results this year - 64 per cent of students gained 5 A*-C grades, including English and maths. This places us in the top 25 per cent of similar schools in England. 76 per cent of students gained an A*-C grade in English and 75 per cent in maths.
“Student progress in these subjects is outstanding and places us in the top 15% of schools nationally. I am very proud of our students and all my staff who have worked exceptionally hard to achieve so well. We plan to aim even higher over coming years so we are right up there with the very best schools in the country.
“I am absolutely confident that we offer the best educational opportunities in the locality. As well as ensuring that our students reach their potential academically we ensure that students learn and thrive in a positive and happy environment. Ofsted reached the following judgement in our very good Ofsted report in October 2013:‘Students’ behaviour is very good. They are very proud of their academy and have excellent relationships with each other and with staff. They feel safe and are safe’. Please do come and see for yourself!”
