Eco-attraction to be activity centre

A MULTI-MILLION pound eco-attraction has been sold with the buyer promising it will create 200 jobs.

The £55 million Earth Centre is to become an activity centre for children after Doncaster Council sold the 50-acre site to Kingswood - a provider of educational and adventure activity services.

The East Anglian-based company plans to transform the Millennium Project flop into a centre for schoolchildren and teachers.

It expects to create 200 jobs, which includes offering apprenticeship schemes for colleges, within 18 months of opening the site between Denaby and Conisbrough.
