CHARITIES are quids in following an Easter fair in Stainforth.
The fair at Stainforth Resource Centre featured a variety of stalls by three churches, charities and organisations, including the NHS and the Royal British Legion.
Entertainment on the day was provided by Geoff Cork and Johnjo the balloon man and there was an Easter egg hunt and face painting for the children.
Coun Stephen Cook was pleased with the day and said: “A beautiful Easter display was made by Mrs Christel Wood and Mrs Julia Keegan, and the cakes and crafts proved to be a great hit with the public and many local charities benefited from the day which was blessed with wonderful spring sunshine.”
Coun David Moore, the mayor of Stainforth, and his wife Iris, opened the popular fair.
