A MAJOR drugs bust by officers has taken £40,000 of drugs off the streets of Doncaster.

A total of 22 people have been arrested for supplying and conspiracy to supply class A drugs as part of a large scale, covert policing operation across the borough.

This morning, six people were arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs. There was £15,000 in cash uncovered during the operation, as well as half a kilo of crack cocaine and half a kilo of heroin.

A number of partner agencies have been involved, including the Metropolitan Police which resulted in the arrests of two men living in London, as well as three men, involved in organised crime in London, who were arrested in Doncaster when they travelled to the town to deal class A drugs.
