A VITAL scheme to help people move on from drug problems will continue.
The ‘Moving On’ project has secured extra funding after the initial funding from Success Doncaster ran out in March.
Saving the scheme is Doncaster Drugs Strategy Unit, which has agreed to finance the initiative until July 2012, including the role of support worker, Rob Keane.
The project is run by the Doncaster West Development Trust (DWDT), and provides access to education, training and employment opportunities for those affected by drug use.
Initially focused on Mexborough residents, it has now been extended to the whole borough and offers wide-ranging benefits for addicts and their families.
