Doncaster’s hospice is looking for volunteer drivers to lend a hand to transport patients to and from its day care unit.
St John’s Hospice at Balby – which is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) – is looking for a number of volunteer drivers to transport patients to and from its day care unit.
The hospice needs friendly and reliable volunteers who can be flexible as appointment times for patients can vary.
A driving assessment is carried out with volunteers and full training is given.
The hospice’s voluntary services manager Alison Constantine said: “Many patients in Doncaster rely on our wonderful volunteer drivers to access our services.
“If you think you could give us the gift of your time, your car and your driving skills, and make a real difference to our patients, please get in touch on 01302 796662”
