A determined Doncaster woman who packed up her life to launch a new boot camp business abroad is set to star in a TV documentary.
Roseanna Gorman decided to follow her dreams and move from her Lakeside home in Doncaster to Marbella in Spain in February 2014.
And now Roseanna, who has built up a successful boot camp business, is set to star in ‘A Life in The Sun’, a Channel 4 series following an intrepid set of ex-pats as they chase a dream life abroad.
Speaking about her business, Aurora Bootcamp, 47-year-old Roseanna said: “It was really daunting when I first moved out there, I didn’t know anyone or know the area but it’s something I’d wanted to do for a long time and I just thought I’ve got to go for it. It was a complete new venture for me. I had worked for a pharmaceutical company and wanted a change and wanted to be somewhere hot. I run the boot camp from my villa. People come and stay here so I only ever cater for a small amount of people at a time – I wanted to be able to offer that personal service.
“It’s mainly people that come over from the UK and across Europe and stay for a week or more. I provide all the meals and we have a range of exercise programmes. It’s all about nutrition, strength and long term health goals.
“Things have been going really well and the feedback has been really positive.”
Roseanna’s business has even been given rave reviews by Vogue and Hello magazines.
As part of the documentary, a camera crew followed Roseanna around over an eight month period.
She said: “It was quite odd at first but I got used to it and actually missed the crew when they’d gone. Everyone back home is really excited to watch the show.“
A Life in The Sun starts on Monday, February 22 and Roseanna will star in the episode aired on March 2. For more information about her business, visit the ‘Aurora Bootcamp’ Facebook group or go to www.aurorabootcamp.com
