A teenager was badly injured in a two-car crash at Hampole, near Doncaster, last night.

The 19-year-old woman from the Auckley area of Doncaster suffered serous leg injuries when the Vauxhall Corsa she was driving collided with a Ford Fiesta on the A638 about 10.30pm.

Fire crews from Adwick and Doncaster stations took almost an hour to free her from the wreckage and they had to remove the car’s roof to gain access to the casualty.

An 18-year-old woman passenger in the Corsa suffered lesser injuries and a young man in the car was also hurt, but not seriously.
