A Doncaster singer whose song features in a magazine rundown of the best songs to have sex to has described the poll as "hilarious."

Chris Madin, who has performed regularly on Strictly Come Dancing, was left stunned when one of his songs was included in GQ Magazine's "The Best Songs To Have Sex To" rundown.

The style mag chose his song Fool For Life in its rundown of 17 raunchy songs for "getting it on," praising its "passion" and "beautfiul vocals."

And on discovering that the Estiva remix of the song, recorded with Dash Berlin, had made it into the poll alongside the likes of Van Morrison, The Killers, Daft Punk and The Temptations, he took to Facebook to express his surprise.

He wrote: "Hillarious! Just found myself mentioned on the GQ magazine website! Apparently one of my songs is a good sound track for erm... "getting it on"!!!!!!!! It's a proud moment guys!!"

GQ writer Ben Kassoy wrote: "It's just an absolutely modern-day electronic dance ballad with such beautiful vocals. There's this one line sung with so much passion that goes, 'Take my sanity away.'

The homegrown star of Strictly Come Dancing left Doncaster aged 11 to study music at Chethams Music School in Manchester.

An accomplished piano player, he also became a renowned vocalist, working professionally from the age of 16 providing vocals to commercials, video games and theme tunes, developing a reputation as a sought after session singer for the industry.

Then Strictly Come Dancing came along and Chris has now been a regular singer alongside Tommy Blaze for five years and in 2014 he also worked on The X-Factor.
