BUDGET airline Ryanair has pulled a busy route from Doncaster’s Robin Hood Airport to a popular sunshine resort.
The firm has announced it will stop flights to Alicante following a row over cash with Spanish airport bosses.
Ryanair, which claims it is being forced to pay €2million by Alicante chiefs for using airbridges, will axe more than two thirds of its flights in and out of the airport from October 2011.
It means Robin Hood’s summer only timetable to the Costa Blanca city, which runs until October, will continue as planned.
