Campaigners stage a protest in Doncaster on Saturday against a planned trade deal between Europe and the US.

Anti-austerity group Doncaster People’s Assembly will stage a rally at Sir Nigel Gresley Square at 12noon.

Organisers say the Doncaster protest is one of hundreds of demonstrations across the UK, Europe and the US today against the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership.

EU Commissioner Karel de Gucht wants the deal to contribute to economic growth. Opponents fear will give too much power to big business.
