A FESTIVAL which attracts thousands of people each year needs funding help.
The Doncaster Pride committee, which has been set-up for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community in the borough, wants to hear from businesses that can help its next event.
Previous years have seen the event bring in thousands of people from all over the country to see its festival of stalls, entertainment and performances on stage by chart-hitting singers including Kelly Llorenna, S Club and 80s icon Toyah Wilcox.
However, help is needed in the run-up to the fifth event which is being held on Saturday, August 20, at the new venue of the Doncaster Racecourse.
As well as top performers taking centre stage, there will be a ‘Walk of Unity’ through the town, an indoor market, VIP area and funfair, all kicking off from 2pm.
