A WOMAN is in hospital with life threatening injuries after being found hurt in her Doncaster home.

The injuries, which followed a night out in the town centre, have sparked a police investigation over concerns about the head injuries she had suffered.

The 64-year-old woman, who has not been named, was out between Tuesday, November 6, between 3pm and 9pm, in Urban Bar on Cleveland Street. But she was found injured and unconscious at her home on Great North Road, Woodlands, at the foot of the stairs. She was taken to Leeds General and District Hospital with serious head injuries, where she was last night still in a critical but stable condition.

Police are appealing for anyone who believes they may have seen her in Urban Bar, or in the town centre, during Tuesday evening.

The woman is white, about 5ft 4ins tall and slim build. She has shoulder length dark hair, slightly grey at the roots.

She wore a long black dress with a red and white flower design and had a long, brown or gold quilted coat with her. It is believed she was with her partner while in Urban Bar. He was wearing a black cap and a yellow high visibility jacket with a grey top underneath.

Both appear to have left the bar at around 9.05pm, heading towards a taxi rank on Cleveland Street. A 56-year-old man was arrested and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, quoting incident 110 of November 6.
