Stay healthy with new online guide

DEARNE residents are being encouraged to monitor their own heart health with a new quick and easy pulse check.

A two-minute film called ‘Know your pulse’ has been produced by the Arrythmia Alliance and the Doncaster community cardiac service, run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.

The guide includes a four step guide on how to take your pulse, what it means, when it should be checked, and when it is advisable to seek medical investigation for any irregularities.

Jo Partington, cardiac services lead nurse, said: “This is about promoting prevention through early diagnosis.”

The film can be seen online at www.knowyourpulse.org
