The snow created major disruption for commuters.

PUPILS were sent home early as a Doncaster school was forced to close due to bad weather.

Coppice School in Ash Hill Road, Hatfield closed around 1pm today.

It is not yet clear if the school will re-open in the morning.

It was business as usual for the rest of the school’s in the borough who remained open.

A Doncaster Council Spokesman said no roads had been closed in the borough as a result of the snow.

The council has advice on gritting operations, salting routes and salt bin locations www.doncaster.gov.uk/winter.
