Shop worker fined in court
A SHOP worker was brought before the courts for selling alcohol to an underage customer during a police operation.
The manager of the Darfield store, a 52-year-old woman, sold the alcohol to a person under supervision of the police on Friday, December 14.
She appeared before Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 28, and was fined £75 and ordered to pay £50 court costs.
Pc Craig Sumpter said after the case that police would continue to target premises who sell alcohol to underage customers.
