Rubbish set alight in Doncaster alley

FIRE crews were called to Hyde Park, Doncaster, last night to deal with a deliberate rubbish fire.

The pile of rubbish was set alight in an alleyway off Chequer Avenue just before 7.45pm and Doncaster firefighters took 15 minutes to deal with the incident.

They were also called to Doncaster High Street yesterday afternoon when a discarded cigarette ignited the contents of a litter bin.
