Police appeal after armed robbery

POLICE are appealing for information after an armed robbery at a store in Kilnhurst.

Police said at least two masked men wearing dark clothing burst into the Victoria Mini Mart brandishing a weapon at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 22.

They allegedly threatened the shop owner and stole the lottery till with a quantity of cash before escaping in a stolen blue Vauxhall Astra estate car, with the registration number M35 VYG.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 1160 of 22 September 2012.
