Murder probe launched after man’s body found in Doncaster house

A MURDER investigation has been launched by police after the body of a man who died with ‘serious internal injuries’ was found in a Doncaster house.
Three people have been arrested after Mark Stannard, 45, was found at the home he shared on Burton Avenue, in Balby.
Police say a post-mortem investigation revealed he died from ‘serious internal injuries’ which resulted in the murder inquiry.
Two men and a woman, all from Doncaster, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently being questioned by officers.
“We are devastated to hear of Mark’s death”, said a statement released by his grieving dad, sister and niece.
“He was a loving son, brother and uncle.
“This is a very difficult time for us all, coming to terms with what has happened.
“We’d now like to be left alone to grieve in peace.”
Mark’s body was found on Wednesday October 3 when police were called out at about 3.30pm to his home, where he lived with two other men.
On Thursday the post-mortem revealed he died from serious internal injuries.
