Men hunted after Rossington alleyway assault leaves victim with broken jaw
TWO men who assaulted a man in an alleyway are being hunted by police.
Officers want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed an incident at 3am on Boxing Day in an alley opposite The White Rose at the junction of Grange Lane and Radburn Road, Rossington.
A 28-year-old man from Rossington was walking home when he was approached by two men, one of whom asked where he was from.
When he replied he had just moved to Rossington, he was then assaulted and left face down on the floor covered in blood.
The man received cuts to his tongue and mouth, a broken lower jaw and was treated for his injuries at Rotherham General Hospital.
The men are described as being white and spoke with local accents.
