Felicity Oatway (3) of Owston Ferry made her catwalk debut in London.

SHE may only be three-years-old but an Isle girl is making her name for herself on the catwalk.

For cute Felicity Oatway wowed the audience when she made her professional catwalk debut in London when she took part in the Nordic Children’s Catwalk section of the Scandinavia Show at Earls Court.

The Owston Ferry youngster already had the fashion bug after taking part in a number of local shows and various photo-shoots for her dad, Epworth-based professional photographer Steve Oatway. But this was her first time in such a high profile event.

Steve said: “We’re all very proud of how well Felicity performed at the catwalk. She was full of confidence and did an amazing job.”

Felicity won the right to strut her stuff after entering a competition ran by Junior Magazine.

The youngster, who was escorted on the catwalk by her sister Charlotte, 23, was brimming with confidence as she prepared to go on stage.

Steve, who was given a press pass for the event and was able to photograph his daughter on the catwalk, said: “Before the catwalk started Felicity was jumping up and down with excitement, demanding to know if it was her turn yet and whispering ‘we’re going to be awesome, we’re going to be awesome.’.

“She wasn’t happy that Charlotte had to escort her onstage and told her sister ‘You stay here. I can do it by myself’.

“There was a mini-catwalk on ground level and she was allowed to do that part alone. Felicity strutted her stuff down the catwalk before standing and posing for the camera at the end, with her back to the audience. She ran back to Charlotte for a big hug and a high-five then went backstage asking ‘Can I have another turn?’.”

During the day, delighted Felicity also got to meet Father Christmas and had a sit in a Koenigsegg sports car.

Steve added that she loved the train ride down to the capital and spent the day on the lookout for the Queen.

On the subject of a future in modelling for Felicity, Steve said: “Felicity does a lot of modelling for Steve Oatway Photography, which she finds fun. At this point, we’d rather keep it that way.

“We don’t want to be pushy parents and take the fun out of modelling for her. If she wants to pursue a modelling career when she’s older then we will support her in that, but we feel it should be her.
