Mayor’s plans to stop more lapdancing clubs opening

Doncaster Mayor Peter Davies

Doncaster Mayor Peter Davies

MAYOR Peter Davies says he wants no more lap dancing clubs in Doncaster, after backing regulations which will govern where they are allowed to operate.

New rules approved by Doncaster Council’s cabinet effectively ban the clubs from a range of areas which are deemed to be sensitive.

It means the council will not grant operating licences which would be required under the new rules at sites including near schools, parks, recreation areas and churches.

Mr Davies said: “I would rather not have had any of these establishments in Doncaster. But I am told the two we do have are not open on a regular basis.”

Doncaster has two sites were lap dancing takes place - Bentleys, in Hall Gate, and Players in Cleveland Street.

there should be one at the Racecourse roundabout for all the poor motorists sat in the jam caused by the closing of the lanes on Carr house road. Dark nights come and what happens - the good old council starts a set of road works off, amazing. No chance of filling in the potholes on Thorne road eh Pete?? Just where did the governments extra money go after last winter to do emergency repairs - or maybe there's so many potholes we can't see the wood for the trees! Oh, there we are back to the racecourse.

Is this because Davies wants to be the biggest tit in Doncaster?

Now that he has taken the moral high ground on this matter when will he start regulating betting shops or if you prefer bookies' Or is this one sin the mayor is in love with? Hypocrit!
