Man injured as car collides with bus

A MOTORIST sustained head injuries when his car was in collision with a bus.

The 41 year-old driver was taken to hospital after the Daihatsu Sirion he was driving collided with a bus on Rotherham Road, Maltby near the junction with Blyth Road just before midday.

All passengers on the bus were safely evacuated, and a fire crew from Rotherham assisted paramedics to free the driver of the Daihatsu.

The incident is thought to have happened due to icy road conditions.
