Man killed in Doncaster crash
Police Accident
Police are appealing for information after a man died in a car collision in a Doncaster village yesterday.
Just after 10am a 43-year-old man from Pontefract who was driving a blue Vauxhall Corsa was travelling along the A638 from Doncaster towards Pontefract.
At the left hand bend after Leys Lane, near Hampole, it is believed that the car lost control and collided with a stone wall, rebounding back and coming to rest in the road.
The driver suffered fatal chest injuries and died. There were no other vehicles involved.
Anyone that witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of the vehicle prior to the incident is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 506 of 28 October 2012.
