Man charged over woman's death in fire

A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with manslaughter over the death of a woman in a fire in Hyde Park.

Sharon Long, a 27-year-old deaf woman, died early on Monday morning after firefighters rescued her from her first floor bedroom of her house in Childers Street.

Matthew Gleadhill, also of Childers Street, was due to appear at Doncaster Magistrates Court later this morning.

A 39-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman who were arrested in connection with the incident have been released without charge.
