residents are being warned that they will pay the price for littering as the council continues to crack down.

26 people were convicted of littering offences between October 22 and October 29 and one person was charged with failing to comply with a householder’s duty of care in respect of her household waste.

Deputy mayor, Councillor Cynthia Ransome, cabinet member for communities, street scene and environmental protection said: “Doncaster Council does not tolerate littering and we will continue to clamp down on people who spoil our natural environment.

“Hefty fines could be avoided if people take more care and responsibility.”
