Isle of Axholme secondary school league tables released

School league tables for South Axholme School and Crowle’s Axholme Academy have been released released by North Lincolnshire Council.

The number of pupils eligible for GCSE and equivalent qualifications. This is defined as the number of pupils at the end of Key Stage 4, which usually means all pupils in Year 11: North Axholme School have 72, South Axholme Community School 193.

The proportion of candidates getting five A* to C-grades at GCSE or equivalent including English and maths: North Axholme School recorded 63 per cent, South Axholme Community achieved 65 per cent.

The rank within its local authority which the school achieved according to the proportion of pupils getting five Cs at GCSE or equivalent including English and maths. Ties are broken by average GCSE points score per pupil: North Axholme Scool 6, South Axholme Community 5.

The average GCSE points score per pupil. GCSEs and qualifications judged to be “equivalent” to GCSEs are assigned points. For example, a GCSE, grade B = 46 points; BTEC Certificate in Applied Science, Distinction = 52. There are too many qualifications now being included to list each one alongside its points score. North Axholme School 451.8, South Axholme Community 499.4.
