Isle duo dance their way to success

A DUO of twinkle-toed dancers are celebrating winning one Yorkshire’s top dancing competitions for the sixth time together.

Isle youngsters Charlotte Geddes, 12, and Isabelle Nicholl-Marshall, nine, came first yet again in the Acro duette at the recent Bullcroft Festival.

The girls, both members of Ealand Academy Dance School, Crowle, were up against competition from pupils from schools across Yorkshire inthe festival at the Bullcroft Memorial Hall, Carcroft.

In addition to their joint success they each won medals and trophies in individual events.

Charlotte won the championsips for ACRO, lyrical Dance Modern Dance Song and Dance Disco. Isabelle came first in the junior Cabaret Championships and came second in the Classical Championships.

Charlotte’s mum, Sue, 46, of Potts Lane, Crowle, said: “I am so proud of her. I am absolutely delighted she has pulled her socks up and knuckled down to hard work. The girls work really well together.”
