Get a health MOT

FREE health checks are being offered to people between the ages of 40 and 74 in a bid to target diabetes, strokes and heart disease.

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is offering free checks on Thursday, February 9, at the Talking Shop in Hall Gate, where they will also receive tailored advice on how to stay fit and healthy.

People can drop in between 9am and 3pm for an appointment which last around 20 minutes.

Medical staff will look at height and weight, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose before putting together an individual health plan.
