DONCASTER Council’s fostering recruitment campaign is back on the road.

The first event will take place on Tuesday at Castle Park Rugby Club in Armthorpe Road, Armthorpe, between 5pm and 8pm.

The following day it will be at the Beak Children’s Children’s Centre, in Graham Road, Kirk Sandall, from 10am to noon. The roadshow will then stop off at The Croft Children’s Centre, in Sheep Dip Lane, Dunscroft, between 1pm and 3pm.

Coun Eric Tatton-Kelly, Doncaster Council’s cabinet member for children, said: “We are constantly looking for people to come forward to foster children who need loving and stable homes. These events are a good opportunity to take the first steps to fostering.

“If you are considering becoming a foster carer please come along and talk to our friendly team who will happily discuss the application process and answer any questions you may have.”

Foster carers need to be over the age of 21 and have a spare room to look after young children or teenagers.

People who decide to foster through the council will receive 24-hour support and allowances of up to £432 per week per child.

Anyone interested in fostering who cannot attend the events, can call 0808 129 2600 or www.fosteringindoncaster.org
