A Doncaster town centre street was sealed off for a time this morning after a fire above a shop was reported.

Doncaster firefighters wore breathing apparatus to enter the premises above the Revolver shop on Scot Lane.

The area was taped off to prevent vehicles and pedestrians getting in the way of the crews.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said it was a small fire and not a chemical incident. No-one was injured.
