Fairy Jobmother grants TV wishes

SHE has helped hundreds of unemployed people from Doncaster get back into work.

Now Hayley Taylor - dubbed The Fairy Jobmother - is waving her magic wand further afield as she aims to move jobless men and women across the country into employment.

Job expert Hayley, 43, who hails from Doncaster, is the star of a new TV programme in which she tries to encourage unemployed people to quit their lives on benefits.

As part of the The Fairy Jobmother series she moves in with long term unemployed families to help them get back into employment.

Hayley, who learned her expertise in the Doncaster office of training company A4e in Hall Gate, said she aimed to help her clients identify their own skills and personal qualities before getting them to market themselves properly.

She added: "The programme is about getting people to believe in themselves, most importantly, and what they've got to offer.

"And it's about hopefully being able to move them and their family forward in life."

Hayley has helped plenty of Doncaster folk return to employment over the years. And many other people across the borough may recognise her from a previous TV appearance.

Cameras followed Hayley as she led a group of three Doncaster mothers back to work in Benefit Busters last August.

The new series, which started with a trip to Middlesbrough to meet Dean Peterson and Maxine Green, sees Hayley live with families for three weeks.

She said: "I stay in the house for the very first night, which is interesting as you never know if you've got a bed or not. And I only had a bed once!"

* The Fairy Jobmother continues on Channel 4 on Tuesday at 9pm.
