Doncaster school is blacked out

A power failure has closed a school in Balby, Doncaster, today.

All power to Woodfield Primary School was lost overnight and the cause is being investigated by engineers.

A spokesman said they hoped to re-open tomorrow.

Parents and carers of the 328 pupils were alerted by text at 6am today asking them not to attend, but teachers are working.
