Police investigating a robbery in the Hyde Park area of Doncaster are appealing for information and for witnesses to come forward.

The incident happened between 1.25pm and 1.30pm on Friday, November 2, outside a bank on Ten Pound Walk.

It is believed a man in his 50s was stood near to a cash machine when a man has approached him from behind, threatened him and made demands for property.

The suspect has then left with a bag, containing a large quantity of cash and he is believed to have got into a grey 51 plate Alpha Romeo which drove off up Heavens Walk.

The vehicle was later found abandoned nearby. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as white, about 20-years-old, of thin build, approximately 5ft 8ins tall with short dark hair.

A Police spokesperson said: “Officers are appealing for anyone who believes they may have witnessed the incident or witnessed any suspicious behaviour prior to the incident to come forward.

In particular, officers would like to speak to a female driver of an Audi A5 who was driving along Heavens Walk, as they believe she may have seen the Alpha Romeo driving away.”
